Cristóbal Fonseca, CEO of Microendo, Wins the Regional Final in Mexico and Heads to the Grand Finale in Silicon Valley

An innovative event hosted the regional final of the Startup World Cup, organized by Red Emprende Tabasco. What made this event unique was that it took place aboard the Maya Train, an experience that brought entrepreneurship to new levels, with startups from across the country pitching their ideas.

Among the standout competitors, Cristóbal Fonseca, CEO of Microendo, emerged as the grand winner of this regional final, earning a direct pass to the international final in San Francisco, California. Microendo, with our innovative proposal of biofertilizers made from plant microbiota, proved to be a company that is not only revolutionizing agriculture but also has the potential to position Mexico as a global leader in sustainable technology.

The event, held from September 16 to 20, began in Villahermosa, Tabasco, and concluded in Cancún, Quintana Roo, where the finalists presented their pitches to investors and international experts. The final in Cancún was the culmination of the experience, where Mexico’s best startups competed for a spot in Silicon Valley. Cristóbal Fonseca stood out for Microendo’s innovation and his clear vision of revolutionizing agriculture.

With this victory in the regional final, Microendo is now preparing to represent Mexico at the grand finale in San Francisco, where we will have the opportunity to showcase to the world the potential of the biotechnological solutions developed by Microendo.
