Microendo in Virginia, United States

At Microendo, we are constantly seeking opportunities to grow and innovate. Recently, we ventured to Virginia, United States, with the aim of exploring potential connections and assessing the possibility of relocating our operations to this region. During this visit, we immersed ourselves in Virginia’s dynamic business environment and established key strategic relationships.

Institutions Visited:

  • VDACS: Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services: We received information on manufacturing, rental spaces, clients, and distributors.
  • The Shenandoah Valley Produce Auction: We were given a tour of this market where products from local producers are marketed.
  • AgroSpheres: We visited this successful startup in Virginia and learned about their achievements.
  • IALR: Institute for Advanced Learning and Research: We explored the different areas of IALR, including applied research, advanced learning, economic development, manufacturing advancement, and conference services. We had the opportunity to meet Dr. Scott Lowman, who leads the Plant Endophyte Research Center.
  • Southern Virginia Regional Alliance: We met with representatives of this regional alliance, who provided us with insights into the regional economy and investment opportunities in Virginia.

This trip is pivotal in assessing and planning our expansion into Virginia. We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and grateful for the support from the Virginia Economic Development Partnership.

Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible!
